Why we love the pressure-release leash for French Bulldogs

In our experience, using certain leashes for training, like chest harnesses, result in your dog gaining unbalanced strength and muscle in the legs and chest. When we start training our dogs we love the pressure-release leash …

A message from Grandpa Tom

A message from Grandpa Tom

I spend hours every single day with my Frenchies. The personal touch I give them may go unnoticed by most, but I know how important that care is for raising healthy, loving French Bulldog pups. I can't stand what kennels and puppy mills are doing to the breed...

Keeping up with the cuties

We have been so lucky to have met so many wonderful families over the past few years. Grandpa Tom always says, "We have the best families." (referring of course, to all of you who have adopted one of his pups)

After seeing all of these cuties go to their new homes as tiny babies, it's really fun for us to see pics and videos of them as they grow up! We try to keep in touch with as many of you as possible and we follow your awesome Frenchie FB/Insta accounts.

This gallery is just a handful of the Country Farm Frenchies all getting big and loving life with their forever families! Enjoy!!

Is a French Bulldog the dog for you?

We often get asked questions such as, "What makes frenchies so special?" or, "What can you tell me about frenchies' natures and personalities?" These are excellent questions and something you will want to think about before adding one of these dogs to your life!

Frenchies have been called the "class clown" of purebred dogs. They love to entertain and will do anything for attention. We raised a few different breeds before starting to breed frenchies, but once we found these adorable dogs we knew we had the best breed. They are exceptionally loyal, charming and loving. We also love how smart they are, which makes them incredibly easy to train.

One great word to describe french bulldogs is adaptable. We have seen frenchies in lots of different family and life settings and each one seemed happy in their own role. We know a frenchie that runs for miles and hikes mountains every day with her fitness-loving owner. Another was a mellow, quiet lap dog - who became the perfect companion for an elderly woman. We have seen lots of frenchies with different ages of children, and all seem to know when the kids need a cuddle buddy and when they need a playmate!

These dogs are athletic and have enough energy to play and keep with the exciting pace of our farm, but they can also be quiet. You'll find our frenchies sometimes laying by the computer desk at our feet for hours. Frenchies are a special breed. When we say they will make an amazing family member for any family, we mean it!

Meet Piggy!

Our newest addition comes to our little farm in Utah all the way from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil! She is a cream female that is 6 months old and ready to start her new adventure with us here at Country Farm Frenchies. When Grandpa Tom was looking for a new frenchie to add to the family and he showed baby Andie a picture of this cute girl, she saw it and exclaimed, "Piggy!"! Although french bulldogs look (and snore!) a lot like little pigs, we think she's just a bit cuter than the real Miss Piggy.

Bella the First

The one and only Bella.

The one and only Bella.

We are lovers of frenchies! We fell in love with the breed after raising dogs for over 25 years when we adopted the first addition to our frenchie family, Bella. We made the decision to make her part of our lives when Tom was in an accident that left him with a shattered pelvis, broken wrist and elbow, and a long road to recovery. After searching for the right companion (and essentially therapy dog) for him to help him deal with the mental and emotional side of recovery, we found Bella and she took to him instantly. They formed a deep bond as she lay by his hospital bed in our house day after long day. She walked slowly along with his wheelchair, walker, then cane, as he gradually put more and more weight on his leg. As he fully recovered, she became his shadow and sidekick around the farm, riding in the truck (passenger seat of course) and accompanying him while doing chores. She was a loyal, loving dog and earned her nickname of “Queen Bella!”

Bella passed away a few weeks ago, and her loss has been hard on everyone that knew her. We loved her for being a great dog and friend but also for introducing us to the amazing personalities and loving dispositions of the French bulldog breed. Thank you, Bella, for everything you started and for everything you gave to us. We love you and will always have you in our hearts.
